I believe I most closely align with the futurist view. Specifically, I find the judgments on the earth to be too specific to be archetypal of any events which have happened either in the past or the present. The events, especially the bowl judgments, seem to be events of the future which do not have a parallel in history. Another point where I see the futurist view as most likely is the binding of Satan for 1000 years during the Millennial Kingdom. Now, after reading Thessalonians recently, I can see why one may feel the binding of Satan is a current event (the man of lawlessness being held back until his appointed time), though I think the correspondence to its placement in the Millennial Kingdom does not have strong support to be a current event. In other words, I do not believe the Millennial Kingdom is occurring right now, and because the binding of Satan is during this event, I do not believe it is occurring right now.

However, though I do not believe the events have already taken place, I do believe good and evil exist in a cycle throughout history. There are many antichrists, and many godly individuals, and these go back and forth throughout history. There are judgments as well. So, while I do not believe the events have taken place fully, I do believe they are being played out in an archetypal sense throughout history, as much as they can be, specifically in reference to the antichrists and the evil days.
